DESCRIPTION:The 2021 Pack 110 Iditarod will be on Friday\, December 10th at 7:00PM in the Glen Acres Elementary School gymnasium. \nIn case you are new to the pack or need a refresher\, here is what your Team (Den) must bring to the Iditarod: \n\nA (tastefully) decorated sled with a non-scratch\, slick bottom (carpet remnants or old blankets work well)\nThe sled must be able to carry at least 1 child (think laundry basket)\nThe sled must have some sort of rigging for the huskies (scouts and possibly adults) to pull the sled (strong rope securely attached to sled)\nAt least 2 safety helmets (bike\, ski\, etc.) per Team.\n\nWe are encouraging all “Mushers” to get creative and dress the part for the Iditarod.  Click on this link if you need any inspiration http://www.iditarod.com/learn/ \nBelow are some videos of the grand finale a few years ago where the Webelos pulled their Den Leaders.

DESCRIPTION:The 2022 Pinewood Derby will be on January 21st\, 2022 so it’s time start planning those cars.  Pinewood Derby Kits will be distributed to all scouts at the December Pack meeting. \nHere are a few tips & reminders:\nPlease review the official rules as this will make the check-in which starts at 6:00 and closes at 6:45 go much smoother – Pinewood-Derby-Rules. Scout cars must be made with the materials contained in the Pinewood Derby kits and weigh no more than 5oz. fully constructed. \nIn addition to awards for the fastest cars\, awards will be given for the following other categories: \nCubs Choice\, Judges Choice\, Most Original\, Best Cub-Scout Theme\, Most Aerodynamic\, Most Patriotic \nSiblings and adults are welcomed and encouraged to build their own Pinewood Derby Cars for a special Open Races. Adult and sibling cars must fit the track dimensions as stated in the rules\, but may exceed the weight limit up to 10oz. The car must be made from the official pinewood derby kit block and have 3/8″ clearance so that it will run down the track\, almost anything else goes. \nMore information can be found on the PWD-flyer and if you are looking for inspiration\, check out Boy’s Life’s Amazing Pinewood Derby Car Designs of 2019. \nHungry? DESCRIPTION:It’s time for one of our FAVORITE Pack activities- the CUB CAKE BAKE\, Friday\, February 25th at the Hillsdale Cafeteria. \nIt should be a great\, messy time.  Please plan to arrive no later than 6:45 PM with your baked cake\, icing\, decorations and decorating tools so you can get registered and be ready to start decorating. The Pack will not be providing icing this year (the bulk icing we used to get did not spread very well). \nBelow you will find the rules as well as some other details regarding allergy information.  I know it is a lot of information\, but please read through so you have all the information needed. \n**** Since everyone will be busy working on their masterpieces\, no food will be for sale at this Pack Meeting. \nNow on to the Cake Bake Rules: \n\nThis is a Cub – Parent/Family/Mentor project.  If 2 or 3 Cubs and their partners want to coordinate with each other and work as a Team\, that is OK\, too. They will just have to share the prize if they win.\nBaking will be done at home; Decorating must be done at Pack Meeting. Please decide on a theme and bring appropriate supplies. SUMMARY:Hillsdale Garden Club Build Event
DESCRIPTION:I wanted to share this local service opportunity for the Garden Club at Hillsdale. We have 2 dates planned\, 4/2 and 4/9\, described below. Recognizing that April weekend’s can get very busy very quickly\, we appreciate any level of participation\, even if only for an hour or two!  This is a fairly labor intensive task – after you finish building the metal beds (the only tool needed is a wrench!) and leveling\, we then have to load up our beds with soil. So\, we need folks to fill and dump wheelbarrows\, shovel\, rake\, and that’s it!  on 4/9\, we will need help moving the wood chip mulch inside the fenced area. \n\nWe would love to have a pack take over a bed from beginning to end. \n\n\nSaturday April 2nd is our Bed Build Day #1. The rain date is Sunday 4/3. Please spread the word and join us!! \n\nThis will be an open house style event – arrive anytime between 9am and 3pm. We will be there the entire day\, and appreciate it even if you have a couple hours to spare.\n\nThe morning will be spent building the metal beds (we have 7!) and leveling them in their places. We will break for lunch – volunteers will be treated as a thank you – and then we will fill the beds with garden soil in the afternoon.\n\nWe need volunteers to bring wheelbarrows and/or 5-gal buckets\, shovels\, rakes\, gloves\, levels\, measuring tapes\, and 9/16 Socket Wrenches (required to put the metal beds together).\n\nThe fence will be installed the week between 4/4 – 4/8\, and so the final Bed Build Day #2 is set for Saturday April 9th\, 9a-12pm (Rain Date 4/10). DESCRIPTION:Pack 110 has been anxiously waiting for winter to break and to get back outdoors. We are very excited for our first camping trip of 2022 at KOA in West Chester. The KOA is a fun\, close\, and easy overnight trip which makes it a great trip for any first-time campers. We have tent sites right on the bank of the Brandywine Creek!  All members of the family are welcome.\n  \n\n  \nItinerary:\nArrival: 5/13~ after 3 pm or 5/14\n(If severe weather is threatening\, a go/no-go email will be sent to the Pack on 5/13 by 10am) \nFriday Night: Set up camp\, short campfire \nSaturday: Set up camp\, explore the site\, go for a hike and play games\, have dinner\, and enjoy a campfire \nSunday: Breakfast and camp breakdown \nDeparture: 5/16 ~ between 9am – 10am \n\nCost:\nCost : $15 per person / night for 1 night\, $25 per person / night for 2 nights \nPayment Methods: PayPal\, cash\, checks made payable to Pack 110 \n\nEquipment:\nCamping challenges scouts to “Be Prepared”. SUMMARY:Save the Date! Cub Scout Overnight Camp - 7/20-7/24
DESCRIPTION:This summer\, Pack 110 will be attending Camp Ware’s Cub Scout Overnight Camp from July 20th to July 24th. Summer camp is an exciting opportunity for Cub Scouts to have a lot of fun while accomplishing many requirements to help them along the advancement trail. Overnight resident camp offers programs that draw from the Cub Scout advancement requirements in your scout’s book wrapped up in a cool theme. \nPrograms are rank specific\, designed to help Scouts advance.  During the four & five day sessions Webelos can begin their adventure on Wednesday or Thursday; Cub Scouts will begin their stay on Thursday. \nYour Scout will have an amazing adventure swimming\, shooting\, exploring nature\, building things\, crafting\, playing games and making new friends. The Cub Scout summer camp experience runs Thursday through Sunday for all ranks (Tiger\, Bear\, Wolf\, Webelos and Arrow of Light). \nGiven the option to arrive a day early\, your Webelos/Arrow of Light scouts get the camp to themselves. Program provides them with a little extra something regarding moving on to Boy Scouts but don’t fear they’ll get equally as much attending for only four days.  This is pretty cool in that the Webelos can then help the younger Scouts acclimate. Regardless of when you get to camp\, a great time is guaranteed… Both Scouts and adults! \nParent Campers Welcome\, but not Required\nIn order to have a successful week at camp\, we are required to have adequate parent attendees to supervise the scouts\, but if you can’t attend your scout still can.  Besides the opportunity to spend quality time with your son/Scout in an outdoor setting void of the distractions video games and television\, you too will benefit from the valuable message shared by our trained camp staff. Summer camp also provides a phenomenal opportunity to interact with other leaders where ideas\, challenges and experiences are shared. SUMMARY:It's Popcorn Time!
DESCRIPTION:Popcorn is our only fundraiser for our Scouting year!  It also supports the whole Scouting organization with 73% of the sales are profits back to scouting! \nWe encourage each boy to do their best to try to sell at least 10 different people… but more sales will bring incentives & prizes. \n\nA percentage of the Pack’s profits raised by the scout will go into that  Scout’s “Scout Account”.  Balances in Scout Accounts can be use to offset individual expenses (trip expenses\, Blue & Gold tickets\, etc.)\nAdditional prizes may be earned by scouts based on how much popcorn they sell (see below order form for details).\nAll Scouts that sell $250 or more of popcorn get to throw a pie in the face of on of their leaders!\nTop three (3) sellers get an extra pie to throw a pie in the face of on of their leaders!\nParticipate in two (2) or more Show-N-Sells OR $600 or more in door-to-door sales and win a trip to Treehouse World\nParticipation reward: If you made your goal (of at least $25 or sell popcorn to at least 3 people)\, set up your online account or participate in a Show-N-Sell\, you get to participate in an Ice-Cream Party!\n\nAll popcorn order forms must be turned in by October 13th.\nPack Show-N-Sells\nOur Pack Show-N-Sells scheduled at Wawa\, Brothers Pizza & ACE Hardware this year.  Show-N-Sells are a great way for Scouts to build comradery and learn about teamwork and is also a great way for any Scouts that do not feel comfortable with “door-to-door sales” to participate in the popcorn fundraiser.  When a Scout participates in a Show-N-Sell\, a portion of the profits earned during his shift will be counted towards his total sales for the year.  To see a full list of Show-And-Sell dates and locations\, and to sign up for a shift\, click the “Show & Sell” Link above. \n  \nContact the Popcorn Coordinator with any questions:  Drew Cramer

DESCRIPTION:This is our big Opening Night for our 2022-23 Scouting year so there will be lots of fun activities for new and existing Pack 110 Scouts! We are counting on a BIG turnout from our existing Scouts to help make a BIG impression on our new and potential Scouts.  This first meeting will really set the tone for this year and will focus on Family Fun! \nWe will be collecting dues for existing Scouts and applications for new Scouts .  All new Scouts that register at the opening meeting will receive custom Pack 110 t-shirt.  Additional t-shirts for existing Scouts (and parents) can be purchased for $10 per shirt. \nBring a Friend!  Any existing Scouts that bring a friend that is interested in joining the pack will receive a special prize. Existing Scouts should introduce their guest to the cubmaster in order to receive their prize. \nThe Den Leaders and Pack Committee are excited about the upcoming year. \nFamily Scouting\nPack 110 is proud to be participating in the Family Scouting program. This means that we can open up our awesome Scouting program to boys and girls. SUMMARY:Pack Meeting: Pumpkins In The Park - Great Pumpkin Carve
DESCRIPTION:Back by popular demand! Please join us on Friday\, October 14th\, at 5:45 pm for the Pack 110 meeting and Great Pumpkin Carve! \nAfter the opening ceremonies the Scouts and their families will be given 30 minutes to carve and decorate your pumpkin.  Once all of the pumpkins are decorated\, we will light them up and display them on the amphitheater stage to give the Scouts a chance to see the creations that their friends made.  It should be a truly special event. \nWe will be hosting this meeting at East Bradford Park in the field by the amphitheater. Each family should bring a picnic blanket to sit on. \n  \nNecessary Supplies for this meeting\nPlease Remember to bring a hollowed out pumpkin ready to decorate and the necessary tools for your carving / decorating. \nWe strongly recommend picking up a couple of Pumpkin Carving Kits similar to the one pictured here. These actually work very nicely and they are much safer than kitchen knives.  They can be purchased for a couple of dollars at most stores that carry Halloween supplies.  The tools do break relatively easy though\, so you may want to bring spare tools. \n\nPlease remember to bring:\n\nHollowed out pumpkin\nCarving tools\nPicnic blanket\nWarm clothes\nFilled reusable water bottle\nFlashlight\n\n  \n

Even though we may not be wearing our Cub Scout uniforms\, we are still representing the Cub Scouts and must act accordingly. DESCRIPTION:This is an event that is sponsored by the Chester County Council and will include units from all over Chester County \nWith limited event attendance\, we ask that you please only bring the minimum amount of adults needed for your group. \nCouncil will provide lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday morning if you stay over. This is still a bring your own tent/gear event. \nCouncil is planning to have the shooting sports ranges opened and lots of other stations/activities. New this year we are hoping to have a black light pinewood derby (for fun\, not competition) so bring your own wooden car! You can buy the precut bodies at the craft store\, or buy a kit from the council store and cut it yourself before you come to camp! During the day\, one station will be for decorating them and in the evening we will run the cars! Don’t fear if you’ve never made a pinewood derby car\, this is your chance to get a try before you make the real one for your pack and district races later in the year! \nWhen registering\, be sure to specify “Trapper” as your desired campsite.

DESCRIPTION:Overnights with Delaware Nature Society (DelNature) are a wonderful guided experience for our scouts. \nOvernight trips include multiple hands-on activities led by dedicated naturalists. Group leaders work with DelNature staff to create an exciting outdoor/ indoor adventure that includes just the features you want. \nBased at Ashland’s Overnight Lodge\, each traditional Overnight event includes a night hike\, campfire\, morning walk\, one evening presentation and one daytime field study. \nThe designed programs this year will explore nocturnal animals as well as reptiles and amphibians.   Enjoy the fun and adventure of toasting marshmallows\, discovering wildlife\, and connecting with the natural world. \nOvernights at Ashland are an experience everyone in our group will always remember! \nFacility map \nProgram PDF \n\nTicket prices: \n$30 per scout  (limited to 25 spots) \n$20 per adult chaperone  (limited to 20 spots) \n

DESCRIPTION:Pack 110 has been anxiously waiting for winter to break and to get back outdoors. We are very excited for our 2023 camping trip at KOA in West Chester. The KOA is a fun\, close\, and easy overnight trip which makes it a great trip for any first-time campers. We have tent sites right on the bank of the Brandywine Creek!  All members of the family are welcome.\n  \n\n  \nItinerary:\nArrival: 4/29~ after 3 pm\n(If severe weather is threatening\, a go/no-go email will be sent to the Pack on 4/28 by 10am) \nFriday Night: Set up camp\, short campfire \nSaturday: Set up camp\, explore the site\, go for a hike and play games\, have dinner\, and enjoy a campfire \nSunday: Breakfast and camp breakdown \nDeparture: 4/30 ~ between 9am – 10am \n\nCost:\nCost : $5 per person per night\n \nPayment Methods: PayPal\, cash\, checks made payable to Pack 110 \n\nEquipment:\nCamping challenges scouts to “Be Prepared”. Here’s a quick list of essentials: \n\nTent\nSleeping bags and pillow\nFlashlight\nWarm clothes and your mask (dress in layers!)\nFilled reusable water bottle\nRecommended:\n\nsleeping pad or air mattress\nsmall personal coolers for your tent are also nice in the event you need a drink in the middle of the night\nfishing poles\, a ball or a frisbee are also ideas\n\n\n\nDon’t Have a Tent? – The pack can lend you a tent and\, if needed\, help you set it up. DESCRIPTION:Our cub scouts are currently building rockets that we will be launching high into the air on Saturday\, May 13\, 2023 from 11AM-1PM.  All of the rockets have streamers to ensure their safe return.  Please join us and your children can help us retrieve the rockets once they return to earth.  Bring your assembled rocket kit and the pack will provide the rocket motor and all launch equipment. \n\nNot a Cub Scout yet?\nThis is a great opportunity to come see what it’s all about. DESCRIPTION:Tickets are SOLD OUT – you can add your name to the waitlist by registering for an On Hold ticket below!\nThis summer\, Pack 110 will be attending Camp Ware’s Cub Scout Overnight Camp from July 20th to July 23rd (Webelos eligible to arrive on Wednesday\, July 19th – more on this below). \nSummer camp is an exciting opportunity for Cub Scouts to have a lot of fun while accomplishing many requirements to help them along the advancement trail. Overnight resident camp offers programs that draw from the Cub Scout advancement requirements in your scout’s book wrapped up in a cool theme. \nPrograms are rank specific\, designed to help Scouts advance.  During the four & five day sessions Webelos can begin their adventure on Wednesday or Thursday; Cub Scouts will begin their stay on Thursday. \nYour Scout will have an amazing adventure swimming\, shooting\, exploring nature\, building things\, crafting\, playing games\, and making new friends. The Cub Scout summer camp experience runs Thursday through Sunday for all ranks (Tiger\, Bear\, Wolf\, Webelos and Arrow of Light). \nGiven the option to arrive a day early\, your Webelos/Arrow of Light scouts get the camp to themselves. Program provides them with a little extra something regarding moving on to Boy Scouts but don’t fear they’ll get equally as much attending for only four days.  This is pretty cool in that the Webelos can then help the younger Scouts acclimate. Regardless of when you get to camp\, a great time is guaranteed… Both Scouts and adults! \nParent Campers Welcome\, but not Required\nIn order to have a successful week at camp\, we are required to have adequate parent attendees to supervise the scouts\, but if you can’t attend your scout still can.  Besides the opportunity to spend quality time with your son/Scout in an outdoor setting void of the distractions video games and television\, you too will benefit from the valuable message shared by our trained camp staff. Summer camp also provides a phenomenal opportunity to interact with other leaders where ideas\, challenges and experiences are shared. We promise that you too will have a great time at camp! \nREQUIRED: All campers must complete a Health and Medical Information form prior to arriving at camp\nCamp attendees will need to fill out the appropriate form at https://www.scouting.org/health-and-safety/ahmr/ in order to attend camp.  Choose from one of the first two options\, depending on the duration of your stay\, and complete all sections. \nYou will need to reference your immunization records to complete your form. \nFor campers staying longer than 72 hours\, your form includes a Pre-Participation Physical (section C) that must be completed in a medical office by certified and licensed physician (MD\, DO)\, nurse practitioner\, or physician assistant – so plan in advance! DESCRIPTION:Please wear “Class B” – Pack Tee Shirts for this meeting. \n  \nThis is our big Opening Night for our 2023-24 Scouting year so there will be lots of fun activities for new and existing Pack 110 Scouts! We are counting on a BIG turnout from our existing Scouts to help make a BIG impression on our new and potential Scouts.  This first meeting will really set the tone for this year and will focus on Family Fun! \nWe will be collecting dues for existing Scouts and applications for new Scouts .  All new Scouts that register at the opening meeting will receive custom Pack 110 t-shirt.  Additional t-shirts for existing Scouts (and parents) can be purchased for $10 per shirt. \nBring a Friend!  Any existing Scouts that bring a friend that is interested in joining the pack will receive a special prize. Existing Scouts should introduce their guest to the cubmaster in order to receive their prize. \nThe Den Leaders and Pack Committee are excited about the upcoming year. \nFamily Scouting\nPack 110 is proud to be participating in the Family Scouting program. This means that we can open up our awesome Scouting program to boys and girls. DESCRIPTION:Please join us on Friday\, October 13th\, at 5:45 pm for the Pack 110 meeting and Great Pumpkin Carve! \nAfter the opening ceremonies the Scouts and their families will be given 30 minutes to carve and decorate your pumpkin.  Once all of the pumpkins are decorated\, we will light them up and display them on the amphitheater stage to give the Scouts a chance to see the creations that their friends made.  It should be a truly special event. \nWe will be hosting this meeting at East Bradford Park in the field by the amphitheater. Each family should bring a picnic blanket to sit on. \n  \nNecessary Supplies for this meeting\nPlease Remember to bring a hollowed out pumpkin ready to decorate and the necessary tools for your carving / decorating. \nWe strongly recommend picking up a couple of Pumpkin Carving Kits similar to the one pictured here. DESCRIPTION:It’s time for one of our FAVORITE Pack activities- the CUB CAKE BAKE\, Friday\, March 8th at the Hillsdale Cafeteria. \nIt should be a great\, messy time.  Please plan to arrive no later than 6:30 PM with your baked cake\, icing\, decorations and decorating tools so you can get registered and be ready to start decorating. The Pack will not be providing icing this year (the bulk icing we used to get did not spread very well). \nBelow you will find the rules as well as some other details regarding allergy information.  I know it is a lot of information\, but please read through so you have all the information needed. \n**** Since everyone will be busy working on their masterpieces\, no food will be for sale at this Pack Meeting. \nNow on to the Cake Bake Rules: \n\nThis is a Cub – Parent/Family/Mentor project.  If 2 or 3 Cubs and their partners want to coordinate with each other and work as a Team\, that is OK\, too. They will just have to share the prize if they win.\nBaking will be done at home; Decorating must be done at Pack Meeting. Please decide on a theme and bring appropriate supplies. The KOA is a fun\, close\, and easy overnight trip which makes it a great trip for any first-time campers. We have tent sites right on the bank of the Brandywine Creek!  Activities include fishing\, short hikes\, cooperative games\, and campfire S’mores / sing-along.  Dinner and breakfast will be provided.  All members of the family are welcome.

DESCRIPTION:This summer\, Pack 110 will be attending Camp Ware’s 2024 Cub Scout Overnight Camp from Thursday\, July 17th – Sunday\, July 21st (Webelos eligible to arrive on Wednesday\, July 16th – more on this below). \nSummer camp is an exciting opportunity for Cub Scouts to have a lot of fun while accomplishing many requirements to help them along the advancement trail. Overnight resident camp offers programs that draw from the Cub Scout advancement requirements in your scout’s book wrapped up in a cool theme. \nPrograms are rank specific\, designed to help Scouts advance.  During the four & five day sessions Webelos can begin their adventure on Wednesday or Thursday; Cub Scouts will begin their stay on Thursday. \nYour Scout will have an amazing adventure swimming\, shooting\, exploring nature\, building things\, crafting\, playing games\, and making new friends. The Cub Scout summer camp experience runs Thursday through Sunday for all ranks (Tiger\, Bear\, Wolf\, Webelos and Arrow of Light). \nGiven the option to arrive a day early\, your Webelos/Arrow of Light scouts get the camp to themselves. Program provides them with a little extra something regarding moving on to Boy Scouts but don’t fear they’ll get equally as much attending for only four days.  This is pretty cool in that the Webelos can then help the younger Scouts acclimate. Regardless of when you get to camp\, a great time is guaranteed… Both Scouts and adults! \nParent Campers Welcome\, but not Required\nIn order to have a successful week at camp\, we are required to have adequate parent attendees to supervise the scouts\, but if you can’t attend your scout still can.  Besides the opportunity to spend quality time with your son/Scout in an outdoor setting void of the distractions video games and television\, you too will benefit from the valuable message shared by our trained camp staff. Summer camp also provides a phenomenal opportunity to interact with other leaders where ideas\, challenges and experiences are shared. We promise that you too will have a great time at camp! \n\n\n\n\nNOTE: It is the policy of the Chester County Council\, BSA that any attendee\, 18 years and older\, that is attending Cub Scout Overnight Camp must be registered as a pack leader with the Boy Scouts of America. \nThis policy remains in effect no matter the duration of your stay. The registration will require you to provide each adult’s BSA identification number to reserve. \n\n\n\n\nREQUIRED: All campers must complete a Health and Medical Information form prior to arriving at camp\nCamp attendees will need to fill out the appropriate form at https://www.scouting.org/health-and-safety/ahmr/ in order to attend camp.  Choose from one of the first two options\, depending on the duration of your stay\, and complete all sections. \nYou will need to reference your immunization records to complete your form. \nFor campers staying longer than 72 hours\, your form includes a Pre-Participation Physical (section C) that must be completed in a medical office by certified and licensed physician (MD\, DO)\, nurse practitioner\, or physician assistant – so plan in advance! Existing Scouts should introduce their guest to the cubmaster in order to receive their prize. \nThe Den Leaders and Pack Committee are excited about the upcoming year. \nFamily Scouting\nPack 110 is proud to be participating in the Family Scouting program. This means that we can open up our awesome Scouting program to boys and girls. Group leaders work with DelNature staff to create an exciting outdoor / indoor adventure that includes just the features you want. \nBased at Ashland’s Overnight Lodge\, each traditional Overnight event includes a night hike\, campfire\, morning walk\, one evening presentation and one daytime field study. The lodge is heated\, has a full kitchen\, and modern bathrooms – just show up with your sleeping gear! \nThe designed programs this year will include: \nAstronomy: Make your own star finder and learn how to use it. Climb Hawk Watch Hill for a\nbreathtaking view of the heavens as you identify stars\, constellations\, and planets. If weather\ndoes not cooperate take a digital tour of the night sky projected in the Visitor Center Auditorium \nNative Wild Animals: Inspect mounted and live wild animals that make their home in the Delmarva region\, including the rarely seen gray fox and otter. Closely examine the habitats and characteristics of these mammals\, noting similarities and differences. \nOvernights at Ashland are an experience everyone in our group will always remember! \nTicket prices:\n$10 per scout (limited to 30 spots)\n$10 per adult chaperone (limited to 20 spots) \nProceeds from popcorn sales have been applied to the cost of this outing.

These sites boast a huge grass field for playing soccer\, kickball\, or just running around. The location is also close to Chambers Lake\, perfect for fishing or exploring the trail system that starts at the lake’s dam. Plenty of other activities can be explored in the park as well\, detailed in this guide. \nThis location is also close to the Hopewell Furnace National Historic site\, which created metal products in the early stages of American Industrialization. Overnight resident camp offers programs that draw from the Cub Scout advancement requirements in your scout’s book wrapped up in a cool theme. \nPrograms are rank specific\, designed to help Scouts advance.  Webelos can begin their adventure on Wednesday or Thursday; Cub Scouts will begin their stay on Thursday. \nYour Scout will have an amazing adventure swimming\, shooting\, exploring nature\, building things\, crafting\, playing games\, and making new friends. The Cub Scout summer camp experience runs Thursday through Sunday for all ranks (Tiger\, Bear\, Wolf\, Webelos and Arrow of Light). \nGiven the option to arrive a day early\, your Webelos/Arrow of Light scouts get the camp to themselves. SUMMARY:Family Camping - Ashland Nature Center
DESCRIPTION:Overnights with Delaware Nature Society (DelNature) are a wonderful guided experience for our scouts. \nOvernight trips include multiple hands-on activities led by dedicated naturalists. Group leaders work with DelNature staff to create an exciting outdoor / indoor adventure that includes just the features you want. \nBased at Ashland’s Overnight Lodge\, each traditional Overnight event includes a night hike\, campfire\, morning walk\, one evening presentation and one daytime field study. The lodge is heated\, has a full kitchen\, and modern bathrooms – just show up with your sleeping gear! \nThe designed programs this year will include: \nThe Unhuggables: Spiders\, bats\, snakes and lizards–all animals that make many people shudder. Learn about the remarkable role these less popular animals play in the balance of nature and explore their wondrous adaptations. \nNative Wild Animals: Inspect mounted and live wild animals that make their home in the Delmarva region\, including the rarely seen gray fox and otter. Closely examine the habitats and characteristics of these mammals\, noting similarities and differences. \nOvernights at Ashland are an experience everyone in our group won’t forget!

SUMMARY:March Pack Meeting - Cub Cake Bake
DESCRIPTION:It’s time for one of our FAVORITE Pack activities- the CUB CAKE BAKE. \nIt should be a great\, messy time.  Please plan to arrive no later than 6:30 PM with your baked cake\, icing\, decorations and decorating tools so you can get registered and be ready to start decorating. The Pack will not be providing icing.. \nBelow you will find the rules as well as some other details regarding allergy information.  I know it is a lot of information\, but please read through so you have all the information needed. \n**** Since everyone will be busy working on their masterpieces\, no food will be for sale at this Pack Meeting. \nNow on to the Cake Bake Rules: \n\nThis is a Cub – Parent/Family/Mentor project.  If 2 or 3 Cubs and their partners want to coordinate with each other and work as a Team\, that is OK\, too. They will just have to share the prize if they win.\nBaking will be done at home; Decorating must be done at Pack Meeting. Please decide on a theme and bring appropriate supplies. You can bring food coloring to change frosting colors as well.\nJust about any (appropriate) cake theme is welcome.\nNo store-bought cakes!\nCake mixes are fine.\nMust be a cake\, no rice crispy treat sculptures.\nEntire creation must be edible\, including all decorations.\nPlease register your cake when you first arrive.\nCakes will be judged and prizes will be awarded in the following categories:\n\nMost Colorful\n3-dimensional\nMost Creative\nBest Looking\nMost Interesting\nMost Unusual\nBest Scout Theme\nJudges’ Choice\nScouts’ Choice\n\n\nYou are responsible for your work area and your cake.  Please remove all debris and clean your area prior leaving the Pack Meeting.  Floors and tables will be lined with plastic sheeting. If time allows\, after the judging\, several cakes will be selected\, via a drawing\, to be cut and shared with the Pack.  If you want to take your cake home intact\, please do not submit your cake for this drawing. SUMMARY:Overnight Lodge Camping at Camp Horseshoe
DESCRIPTION:Our pack is planning a fun day and evening together at Camp Horseshoe! There are many great scouting activities available at both Camp Horseshoe and adjoining Camp Ware the weekend of our visit.  We’ll stay in Scramm Lodge\, which has a fully functioning kitchen and modern bathrooms.\n.\nThe archery and BB gun ranges will be open at Camp Ware\, and we will plan to attend the afternoon session after our check-in.  To participate\, scouts must be in 1st grade or older.  *Pre Registration is required* and can be accessed through this link:\nhttps://scoutingevent.com/539-109826\n.\nFor those who have older scouts in BSA\, Camp Horseshoe is also offering the opportunity to earn a Merit Badge in Geology on 3 / 21.  Interested families can reserve their spot via this link:\nhttps://scoutingevent.com/539-103143\n.\nWe’ll finish our day with a dinner cooked at camp as well as some evening campfire entertainment.  Sunday breakfast will also be provided.  Please consider joining us for a fantastic spring scouting experience!

DESCRIPTION:Come at 5:30pm for dinner\, the rodeo will start at 6pm. Bring a bike and a helmet\, just let your den leader know if you need to borrow any gear. You do not need to know how to ride a bike to participate! \nThe bike rodeo will focus on bike safety and will feature several stations for scouts that focus on rules of the road\, adjusting your bike and helmet\, balancing skills\, braking safely\, navigating obstacles\, and other important skills. The West Chester Borough Police will be on hand to meet the scouts and provide safety tips! \nSince we’re starting at 5:30\, you can bring a picnic dinner and drinks for your family. The pack will order pizza\, we just need to know how much to order! Use the tickets below to make your pizza selection.

SUMMARY:Family Camping at KOA West Chester
DESCRIPTION:We are very excited for our 2026 camping trip at KOA in West Chester. The KOA is a fun\, close\, and easy overnight trip which makes it a great trip for any first-time campers. We have tent sites right on the bank of the Brandywine Creek!  Activities include fishing\, short hikes\, cooperative games\, and campfire S’mores / sing-along.  Dinner and breakfast will be provided.  All members of the family are welcome.
